Meet the tutor …
Renowned International and “Around Britain” artist Richard John Nichols, offers a host of unique opportunities to bring out or develop your creativity in a friendly and helpful atmoshphere
Born in Suffolk, Richard has been drawing and painting “since the beginning” with an appreciation for historic places, always holding “a great love of all things natural” especially the atmosphere of skies, water, the sea and all their moods!
He exhibited at the famous Gainsborough’s House during his Sudbury schooldays and after diverting to fine art from an extensive career in publishing, marketing and design held a first solo exhibition at Framlingham Castle in October ‘95, followed by regional shows in Southwold, Snape Maltings and Blickling Hall, where he was Artist in Residence for two years, initiating and curating the famously ground-breaking visitor participation “Brush with Blickling” Friezes from 2003 to 2005
Further national exhibitions continued, allowing Richard to blend friendly participant-focused tuition with his unique “Around Britain Watercolour Collection” project, whilst maintaining links with organisations such as English Heritage, The National Trust and RSPB alongside periodical shows at prestigious venues
He loves to share his knowledge, experience and skills with others , carefully crafting unique works of art on commission for clients locally, nationally and worldwide

Commissions are welcomed of Special places, people, pets or to mark special events, as Richard will draw or paint all manner of subjects to create your own unique work of art …wherever it may be, just ask!
